About the Ministry
Teaching the Christ-like way
At Peniel Methodist Church in Vancouver, we recognize that children are a treasured part of God’s kingdom, and nurturing their spiritual development is a priority. Our teaching follows the Ghana Methodist Church Children’s Ministry syllabus, enriched with elements of Canadian culture. The goal of our Children’s Ministry is to help young learners build a meaningful relationship with Jesus and confidently live out their faith in every environment.
We are committed to teaching our scholars about Jesus through the deep and vibrant heritage of Methodist belief. Through scripture reading, prayer, and worship, we equip children with a strong faith foundation that allows them not only to learn about Christ but to experience His presence.
Our lessons are interactive and enjoyable, incorporating Bible stories, music, creative activities, and games to make learning engaging. Alongside this, we highlight essential Wesleyan values such as holiness, love, and service to others.
To equip the children of the Church for leadership on ministry to the world, through the demonstration of Christian Service, Faith and love.
To be a vibrant, Spirit-filled and Spirit-led ministry of teachers and children in the Church, for the holistic transformation of society.

Our desire is for every scholar to not only learn about Jesus but to reflect His character in their everyday lives. Whether at home, in school, or within the community, we encourage them to demonstrate Christ’s love through kindness, compassion, integrity, and service.
At Peniel Methodist Church, we are dedicated to guiding our scholars as they grow into the individuals God has designed them to be. Together, we are nurturing the next generation of faith-filled leaders who will boldly share the love of Christ wherever they go.
