Peniel Methodist Church, Vancouver, is a vibrant and welcoming Christian community located in British Columbia, Canada. We are a Society under the Canada Circuit, which forms part of the North America Diocese of the Methodist Church Ghana.

Our church is deeply rooted in the Wesleyan tradition and operates within the Connexional structure of the Methodist Church Ghana. At Peniel, we are committed to fostering spiritual growth, promoting fellowship, and serving both our local and global communities. Our worship services are spirit-filled and rooted in Scripture, blending Ghanaian Methodist traditions with the diverse expressions of faith found in our multicultural congregation here in Vancouver. Whether you are new to the city, searching for a home church, or looking to deepen your walk with Christ, we warmly invite you to join us in worship, prayer, and service

Our History

Peniel Methodist Church, Vancouver, began in 2016 with a small gathering in a home basement. What started with just a few people has, by God’s grace, grown into a vibrant society within the Methodist Church Ghana, North America Diocese, Canada Circuit. The church has worshipped in various locations, moving to its current space in Surrey, BC, in 2025. Over the years, membership has steadily increased through families, immigrants, and students, and organizations such as the Methodist Girls’ Fellowship, Choir, Men’s Fellowship, and Praise Team have been formed. Today, Peniel is a welcoming community of faith with over 120 members, committed to worship, discipleship, and service. From humble beginnings to a growing fellowship, we continue to testify: “Ebenezer, this is how far the Lord has brought us.” Peniel, we have encountered the Lord
